I have never been “normal” I am an artist, but I played “normal” for a very long time.

Why do I say this on a costume page?

Because the Prince Nuada costume holds a special place in my heart. It represents a period of time in my life where I let go of the expectations of ‘normal’. It represents my leap.

Even though this costume was for fun, I took it seriously. I wanted to learn everything. I worked on this daily after work and on weekends for 9 months. The Nuada costume was with me for almost a year of my life.

This was my 2nd foam latex prosthetic. This was also my first venture into dealing with custom hand painted contacts, leather work, industry makeup, wig ventilating and prop mechanics.

Most of my time was spent ventilating the wig and engineering the telescoping spear.

I did a redo of the mask when I had some extra foam to kill. (Picture with Mr. Wink is the original mask)

Shortly after finishing the Nuada costume I worked on my first feature film. Although I had done commissions for movies, this was my first on set experience. Ironically with Luke Goss, the actor who played Prince Nuada.
