LORD OF DARKNESS

LEGEND | COSPLAY

It was 2004 and this was my very 1st venture into prosthetics.

From the moment I saw “Legend” back in the 80’s  I wanted to make the Dark Lily dress. I had just learned about I foam latex, so I decided I would finally make that dress AND the Lord of Darkness too.

I was extremely lucky that my very first attempt at a 2 part mold and my first run of latex foam went so well! If it had not  I am not sure I would have continued with this enjoyable medium. Foam latex is finicky, things have to be just right and all the steps have to be just right.  I have since learned how lucky I was that it went so well.  I was over the moon with how he turned out!

He was, from tip of hoof to tip of horn, well over 8 feet tall.

I would love to do this costume again knowing what I know now. And with a digital camera that wasn’t made in 2003. 🙂
