This was something that had to fit multiple people. The Actor had to be able to get in and out of it quickly and easily. And it was a tight budget.
I researched our options and we decided to start with pre-made latex parts. Once those came in I altered the mask by adding a paint job, cutting an area for the mouth and chin, and adding a hanging, juicy eyeball. I also had to clean up and the stock latex severed arm and match the skin tone to the actor.
The ugly baby puppet was an amazing find and saved a lot of time and expense. IÂ cleaned that up and matched the paint to Toxie and it played really well on stage.
